Grand Award Election
For 2011, Good Design Grand Award winner was elected by vote. Judges, Good Design Award 2011 winners and visitors of "Good Design Exhibition 2011" held at Tokyo Midtown "Design HUB" voted for the candidates.
The Process
Release of the candidates :
Following candidates were released on October 14 on Good Design Award website. All of the candidates were exhibited at "Good Design Exhibition 2011".

Release of the result :
The result of the election was released on November 9 16:00 JST at Awards Ceremony and Good Design Award website.

Judges, Good Design Award 2011 winners and visitors of "Good Design Exhibition 2011" voted for one Grand Award winner.
How to vote
At the exhibition venue of "Good Design Exhibition 2011" (Tokyo Midtown Design Hub), the polls were placed. Visitors could vote once per person at the polls. To avoid duplication, name in full and mail address was required. If they found nothing was suitable for Grand Award among the candidates, "Nothing suitable" was able to choose.
Good Design Award 2011 winners :
Same number of the vote of their awarded entries were allocated.
They voted via individual website. (Also available to choose "Nothing suitable")
Judges :
1 vote per 1 judge was allocated. Judges were prohibited to vote for their own designs.
