Good Design Awards Overview Report

  • Good Design Awards 2010 Results: 1,110 Awardees in Total

  • --15 candidates for the Good Design Grand Award--

Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP; Tadashi Okamura, Chairman), the organization involved in the comprehensive promotion of design, announced the results of the 2010 Good Design Awards on September 29. Entries for this year opened on April 28 and received 3,136 applications from all over the world. As a result of first and second screening, 1,110 items received Good Design Awards. These include the Good Design Award Best 15 and other special awards. Recipients of the Good Design Award Best 15 are selected as candidates for the Good Design Grand Award. A winner of this year's Good Design Grand Award will be selected from among those 15, at the Awards Ceremony to be held on November 11.

* "Good Design Award Best 15" refers to the Good Design Grand Award candidates and Good Design Gold Award winners. When the Good Design Grand Award recipient determines on November 11, the remaining 14 nominees of the Best 15 will be designated as Good Design Gold Award winners.
