Inspired by sharkskin, designers developed
a fabric surface covered in small gutters and with water repellent
printing over 75% to reduce the resistance inherent in traditional
fabrics by 3%. The suit is cut to accommodate patterns of movement
generated by 3D scan of muscle distribution, eliminating muscle
play caused by currents in the pool and effectively maintaining
body posture in the water.
Developers began with the basic element of material, and an approach
combining material and cutting techniques has significantly expanded
the functionality of this swimsuit. The designers were commended
for their exhaustive pursuit of an innovative development in swimsuit
styles and the resulting originality of this "attack swimsuit."
