Good Design Award 2010 has launched in April of this year with new framework, appointed Mr. Naoto Fukasawa (Product Designer) as chair and Mr. Taku Sato (Graphic Designer) as vice chair.
Mr. Fukasawa has proclaimed design evaluation from consumer point of view as a principle, considering the design effect which enriches our daily life.

April 1 Release of Guidelines for Good Design Award 2010
Released Guidelines for Good Design Award 2010 through Good Design Award website.
April 28 Started to receive the application.
June 9 Closed to receive the application
July 12 Fist Screening Panel
Applied entries were evaluated by judges individually and discussed at first screening panel. The results were confirmed there.
July 16 Notification of first screening results
August 26 and 27 Second screening panel
Screening was implemented for the entries passed first screening, with actual products and explanation materials
August 27 to 29 Good Design Expo 2010
Exhibited all entries for second screening and corporate booth etc at east 5 and 6 hall in Tokyo Big Sight. Recorded 44,325 visitors, total number of man-days for three days. (+1,000 visitors than previous year)
September 8 Decision of second screening and Special award panel
Through the discussion, judges confirmed the second screening results and selected Special award winner candidates.
September 14 Notification of second screening results
September 29 Release of Good Design Award winners
Released Good Design Award 2010 winners. (Except entries cannot release its details on the day.)
October 8

Exhibition of awarded entries will be held at Design HUB in Tokyo Midtown.(Until December 5)
November 10
(Estimated)		 Good Design Award awarding ceremony and Grand award election Recognize award winners and elect one entry among “Best 15” for Good Design Grand Award 2010 winner.
