  • JDP announces "2007 Good Design Award"Results

Tokyo, October 1st, 2007 - Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP) announced today 1,043 items including the "best 15" that were accredited by the 51st Good Design Award (the so-called "G-Mark").

The "Good Design Award 2007"received 2,945 items for "Product Design Categories","Architecture and Environment Design Categories","Communication Design Categories",and "New Territory Design Categories". Chairperson Hiroshi Naito, Vice-chairperson Kiyoyuki Okuyama and Akiko Moriyama, and the remaining 71 council members judged the 2,945 nominees and accredited 1,043 G-Mark items. The accredited 1,043 G-mark items include the "best 15 Good Design Award","Universal Design Prize,""Interaction Design Prize," and "Ecology Design Prize".

A "Good Design Grand Prize 2007" and 14 "Good Design Gold Prize 2007" will be selected from the "best 15" Good design Award winners by the Good Design Council members and Good Design Award winners will be announced on October 25th at the "Good Design Grand Prize Winning Ceremony".

Good Design Awards 2007 Special Prizes
Good Design Awards 2007 BEST 15

The BEST 15, the most excellent designs among the whole awarded items this year, will be the nominees of the Good Design Grand Prize 2007. Good Design Grand Prize (1 entry) is chosen on October 25th at the award ceremony by the vote of all jury members and award winners of the year. Other than the Grand Prize, 14 other items will be the Good Design Gold Prize 2007.
