The smallest receiving system in the industry offers maximum
capacity. Rather than differentiating itself from the competition
by its multiple functions, this system offers increased value
in returning to the basic properties of mobile shelving units
and creating a user-friendly operating interface. By focusing
on increased usability, the designers have succeeded in creating
a consummate example of universal design, unlike conventional
storage shelving units, which emphasize only storage efficiency.
We gave high marks to the efforts to forge new links between
storage spaces and work spaces in public spaces and to create
comfortable and pleasant workplaces.

This swimming pool, 50m X 25m in size and 3m deep, is the world's
first internationally-approved pool designed for temporary installation,
thus countering the recent trend of building entire new facilities
expressly for large-scale sports events. The factory-manufactured,
fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) units can be assembled in two
weeks and taken down in one week. The units have adjustable
joints and supports that provide a positive tolerance within
10 mm and negative tolerance of 0 mm, which is an internationally
recognized standard. The environmental burden is minimized dramatically
because the pools can be disassembled and used again. This design
received high marks for realizing a variety of different innovations,
including lower costs by the use of high-precision techniques
in assembly, reduced consumption of resources through reuse,
greater flexibility in operation, and improved management efficiency.
