概 要

テレビの設計では通常、LEDパネルを先に開発し、後でパネルに合わせた外殻がデザインされるが、3D SMART LED TVでは、デザインとパネル開発を同時に取り組み、パネル自体が外殻になるという革新的な製法をもたらした。そのパネルシールドはもはやベゼル（斜面みぞ）によって隠されていない。横から見て非常に薄く、一体感の高いスクリーンは、最新技術と優れたデザインが融合した結晶である。

What we placed importance on during the process of designing this product was creating harmony between the product and its surrounding environment, rather than having the product stand out or separating the two through the use of lines and sides. The TV concept has changed. We wanted to create an image of harmony between society and future products.

3D SMART LED TV [UN55D7900]
The smart TV changes the TV concept with regard to different contents and usage patterns. We wanted to create a prototype for the smart TV. We placed focus on supplying contents in a user-friendly way, the most important function of the TV. We wanted to create a TV that blends in with the user environment based on a design that delivers only core values.

3D SMART LED TV [UN55D8000]
The slim metal bezel, resulting from the transformation of the panel shield into the exterior, blurs the boundary between the screen and the surrounding environment. Shedding light on the world, this product provides various contents and smart functions to strengthen social relationships. It contributes to the establishment of an environment where various cultures co-exist and can be shared.

審査委員の評価

会場では全ての審査員が思わず立ち止まるような、他を圧倒した存在感を放っていた。今まであったテレビのデザインから大きく突き抜け、難しい処理を完璧にこなしている点に賞賛の声が集まった。フレーム内部の処理も、無駄な細かい細工をしていない点も素晴らしい。
